| The DJNewStyle Show - 12/27/2005 - DJNewStyle
As some of you know, I have been doing quite a bit of internet radio over the past year. Several characters from years past have been reborn, as I've been hosting The DJNewStyle Show.
If you've missed it, which you probably have, check out some of the archived shows on the podcast. Don't worry, an iPod is not required to listen. Podcast is just a faggy buzz-word term, created by Adam Curry, which represents an RSS feed that delivers audio instead of moronic banter about some depressed emo kid's war on conversation at the dinner table.
Anyway, I'm live Tuesday and Thursday 10PM-12AM (ET) on THEREISNORADIO.COM. Check me out. |
| AdBrite Delivers Results - 11/29/2005 - DJNewStyle
If you're looking to make some money off of your website, AdBrite is the only way to go. I've tried Google ads, and earned some money, but they cancelled the account right before they had to send me my first check. AdBrite has already earned me money from my other sites.
By the way, I could think of nothing cooler than Mr. T. That's why he's attached to this article. If he worked for this site, I'm sure he'd say something like this:
AdBrite gets yo' ass paid, fool. |
| Jim Norton Photoshopped Images - 11/23/2005 - DJNewStyle
I've created a site that serves as a showcase for photoshop skills. People can submit, view, and rate their creations on NORTONSIGHTINGS.COM. What's with the name? It's dedicated to Jim Norton.
Jim Norton is a standup comic who is a regular on The Opie and Anthony Show on XM 202. Aside from being on my favorite radio show, Norton is fucking hilarious. He has a couple of albums for sale on his site. Get them.
People have been posting a lot of pictures on NORTONSIGHTINGS. A lot of the O&A fans listen to the show and create scenarios based on the stories they're telling. Some of the 'sightings' are .. kind of okay. Some are hilarious. If you're into Jimmy Norton or the Opie and Anthony show, feel free to post some of your work to see how your skills stack up.
By the way, I've become so impressed with AdBrite. I personally think they're more effective than Google Ads - AdBrite pays me more. So, make money from your website by signing up for AdBrite.

| New Forum Launched! - 5/6/2005 - CCMCornell
Ever since Gamers.com shut down their user forums, 404 Gaming has been without a forum. I recently installed Snitz Forums 2000, an ASP forum. We can now continue to post useless, offensive messages about video games, news and the like.
All 404 members should check out the forum for special news. As always, guests are invited to register and post!

| Imposters! - 2/8/2005 - DJNewStyle
IMPOSTERS! Really original name you guys have.
Hopefully, the team you've picked for research and development didn't come up with your name. I guess originality isn't your forte.
DJ Pooh (Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas™) to 404 Gaming’s already impressive staff will infuse our “Hip-Hop MMORPG” in development with an inspiring dose of classic urban storytelling. Wow! A Hip-Hop MMORPG! How else would one come up with an original idea - hire the guy that did it first.
To the 'crew' making the vomit-inducing Hip Hop MMORPG - Eat shit. |

| Cheers for Iraqis and their election! - 1/30/2005 - CCMCornell
With a reported 72% turnout (shaming the US and many other established democracies), the Iraqi election was a resounding success! Props to the brave Iraqis who are taking their first steps into democracy and towards a stable, peaceful government and to the troops and governments (most notably ours) who made it possible. Though the struggle will continue for much longer, if the people of Iraq and Afghanistan (who had their successful elections last year) and the coaltion forces remain brave and determined, these efforts will become the greatest success stories sinced the rebuilding of Europe and Japan after WWII.
On our own front, let this be a great blow to the critics of the war and the administration - critics whose pessimism was purely motivated in partisanship, not by facts. Surely, they hoped, either secretly or overtly, that more blood of Iraqis and our troops would be shed just so they could feel affirmed.
Let us also be critical of mainstream media, which has so far given poor coverage of this historic occassion. While they have covered every roadside bomb incident and military vehicular accident like hawks to paint an overly dark image of everyday Iraqi life, they have paid relatively cursory coverage to an election that is almost as important to us as one of our own. Certainly, if the day's events had been more unfortunate, mainstream media would have plastered us with coverage, thereby fueling the aforementioned critics.
Thank goodness for the independent bloggers - the Iraqis, soldiers and civilian westerners travelling to Iraq to give us a more complete image of the successful growth and daily life in Iraq.

| BEER-A-MID - 1/27/2005 - DJNewStyle
The Beer-A-Mid site has been revamped and a couple of new sections have been added. In one section, I've written a brief history of the empty-beer-can sculpture, and in the other I talk about some of the other crap that was in our dorm.

The Beer-A-Mid has been gone since 2002, but its memory will live on. Check it out here. |
| Handheld Video Game Battle Heats Up - 1/6/2005 - DJNewStyle
The battle is on. Sony is currently showing off their PSP handheld game system at the International Consumer Electronics Show, while Nintendo proudly displays their new Nintendo DS.
The Wheel of Fortune handheld is notably absent. |
